Hello and welcome to the new Ross Retro blog! I’m Helen. My degree is in interior design, but my passion is as a vintage hunter, retro lover, furniture upcycler and all-round lover of beautiful old things. You’ll usually find me tucked inside our black shipping-container shop at Ross Reclamation, surrounded by vintage interiors, reclaimed furniture, and the wonderful chaos of a busy, working salvage yard in Ross-on-Wye.

This blog is where I’ll share some of our larger collection-only finds, which I am unable to post, so this is our collection-only section. From reclaimed dressers and antique mirrors to architectural salvage and garden treasures, these are all too big or heavy to post. It’s also a place for stories behind the pieces: where they came from, what makes them special, and how they might fit into your home or garden. As ever, smaller items can be purchased in our online shop.

At Ross Retro, we believe in giving characterful items a new life — reclaiming the past to restore the future — and celebrating the craftsmanship, patina and history that make vintage design so timeless.

You’ll find Ross Retro tucked inside Ross Reclamation, behind Morrisons in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. Look out for the black shipping container with our name on the side (and the black rocking horse on the roof — you can’t miss it!).

Thank you for visiting! Feel free to browse our posts, explore our showroom at Ross Reclamation, Ross-on-Wye, or get in touch if something catches your eye. Every piece has a story — and I can’t wait to share a few of mine.

Best Wishes

Helen x
