If you’ve ever tried to find Ross Reclamation or Ross Retro and thought, “I didn’t know this was here!” — you’re not alone. We truly are one of Ross-on-Wye’s best hidden gems, tucked away behind Morrisons on Broadmeadow Industrial Estate. This guide will help you find us easily, whether you’re visiting for reclaimed building materials, architectural salvage, antiques, vintage homeware or a unique day out.

Meet Michael – The Expertise Behind Ross Reclamation

Ross Reclamation is owned by Michael, who founded the business five years ago after recognising a gap in the market for a high-quality reclamation yard in the Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire area. Having grown up around reclaimed materials, taught by his father, Michael now brings over 30 years of experience in the reclamation and architectural salvage trade.

He is known for his extensive knowledge of reclaimed stone, timber, bricks, flagstones, doors, garden features and architectural pieces. Michael prides himself on sourcing high-quality items and helping customers find exactly what they need. If something isn’t in stock, he’ll often source it through his trusted network or point people in the right direction.

Meet Pepper – The Yard’s Official Welcoming Committee

No visit to Ross Reclamation would be complete without meeting Pepper, the gorgeous young red cocker spaniel who has become a customer favourite. Gentle-natured, affectionate and full of character, Pepper loves nothing more than greeting visitors the moment they step out of their cars.

She adores water, exploring the yard, and supervising from her favourite perches — including, as seen here, proudly posing on the forklift. Her friendly presence adds warmth to the yard and makes Ross Reclamation feel even more like a family-run, community-focused destination.

Ross Retro – The Vintage Showroom Inside the Yard

Within the heart of this thriving salvage site sits Ross Retro, our curated vintage and antiques showroom filled with hand-selected furniture, pottery, glassware, quirky décor, collectables and unique interior pieces. Housed in a distinctive black shipping container topped with a vintage rocking horse, Ross Retro has become a recognisable landmark and a beloved stop on the Ross-on-Wye vintage trail.
