This lovely pair of antique pottery vases dates to around 1895–1910 and features the distinctive intarsio-style decoration popular in Staffordshire at the turn of the century. Each vase is decorated with soft shaded green and golden glazes, overlaid with vivid transfer-printed roses, irises and foliage, all sealed beneath a glossy clear glaze.

The rounded, bulbous form and small flared neck are typical of Victorian art pottery from makers such as Wileman & Co. (pre-Shelley), Royal Stanley, and other Staffordshire potteries producing intarsio-style ware during this period. Both vases have unglazed bases with hand-painted decorator numbers and impressed numerals, consistent with late-Victorian production methods.

One vase has a small chip to the foot rim, but both display beautifully, with rich colour and lovely period charm. Perfect for display in cottage interiors, floral settings, or as part of an antique pottery collection.
